12CSI is built on Volunteership & Community Involvement
12CSI is primarily a volunteer organization depending on community members to help us accomplish our mission and objectives.
If you would like to get more involved in your community and the surrounding area, please send an email to info@12csi.ca and we will find an opportunity for you.

Some ways to Volunteer in the Community:
- Become a member of your community association and get involved.
- Pick up garbage at a local park.
- Give some time to a senior still in their own home and visit, help run errands, fix something, or take them grocery shopping.
- Register as a volunteer at a neighbourhood school and be available to help in the office or supervise students at lunch hour.
- Participate in the Annual Pathway and River Cleanup held on the first Sunday in May. Please register online at calgary.ca.
- Read with children at a local school.
- Help newcomers with reading, writing, and grammar skills
- Help deliver Calgary Food Bank food hampers to offsite depots on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings (6:30am -8:30am) each week.
- Find a group that is helping Calgary’s less fortunate and that you are passionate about and get involved in whatever they might require.
- Put your green thumb to work and help organize the community gardens at the Alex Community Food Centre.
- Provide support, crisis intervention, information and referrals through the Distress Centre Crisis Line. Training and is provided.
