12CSI'S DIVERSITY TRAINING SERIES

di-ver-si-ty

The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect.

It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.

It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.

It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

Beginning in March 2018 (delayed from February because of bad weather), we will be offering a six-part Diversity Training Series during the first hour of our monthly meetings. The series will finish in December 2018. We are inviting the general public and any interested agencies to attend these FREE sessions. Certificates will be provided to everyone who attends all six parts. We will follow each session with out regular committee meetings and reports so please arrive on time and be prepared for a challenge.
